  • The autumn season marks the peak incidence of respiratory diseases. In order to further enhance the prevention and control of respiratory infectious diseases in China and safeguard public health, the Academic Conference on Vaccines Preventing Respiratory Infections, organized by the Chinese Preventive Medicine Association (CPMA), was successfully held at the Xiangshan Hotel in Beijing on October 28, 2023.

The conference was chaired by Dr. Feng Zijian, Vice President and Secretary-General of the CPMA. National experts in relevant fields were invited to actively engage in academic discussions on topics such as the prevention of respiratory infections, etiology of related diseases, disease detection and monitoring, preventive immunization, and health economics.

As the prevalence of mycoplasma pneumoniae infection rises and the flu season approaches, experts at the conference emphasized the decisive role of vaccines in preventing respiratory infections based on specific clinical practices.

This conference provided new insights and impetus for the prevention and control of respiratory infectious diseases. It is believed that with the collective efforts of the participating experts, vaccines will become a powerful tool in addressing respiratory infections, making a positive contribution to promoting human health.
